Standup comedian, actor, and writer Ramy Youssef’s weight loss rumors have been making rounds on the internet. Youssef mostly came to prominence for his eponymous comedy show, Ramy. But has the actor really gone through any weight loss recently or in the past? Well, he does have a lean physique which kind of raises the question of if he has. Know the truth in the stories below.
Did Ramy Youssef Go Through Weight Loss?
Youssef as far as the media knows has never gone through any sort of weight loss. While Hollywood has a number of instances where celebrities have gone through a surprising weight loss, Youssef doesn’t seem to be one of them.
Although Youssef may have had one or few weight losses in his so far life, they couldn’t be any different than a normal person shedding or gaining a few pounds every now and then.
The New York City-born actor Ramy Youssef has talked a lot about most of his growing up from having been born in Queens, New York to growing up following the Muslim faith. Youssef however has never shared detail on how his body had been throughout the years. That includes his physical metamorphosis over the years.
Even if there was one minor incident where Youssef may have lost some weight, that particular story seems to have eluded the public eye. Regardless there’s no evidence to suggest any drastic changes to his physical appearance.
Ramy Youssef Bio
Ramy Youssef was born in the Queens borough of New York City in 1991. He later however grew up in New Jersey. His father emigrated from Egypt and after spending ten years in the US, Youssef’s dad became a manager at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
Youssef grew up in a Muslim household. He is a practicing Muslim and has always observed Islamic Holidays. Ramy told attended Rutherford High School and later studied political science and economics at Rutgers University, Newark.
The now-31 to 32 years old actor made his acting debut on the Nick at Nite sitcom See Dad Run. Youssef had the main role in the show. The Golden Globe winner’s television show Ramy premiered on Hulu on April 19, 2019. The series tells the story of a millennial Muslim who is a first-generation American born to immigrant parents in the US. For his performance on the show, Ramy went on to win a Golden Globe in Jan 2020 and also set his name in the entertainment industry.
In June 2019, Youssef also had a role in his first HBO stand-up comedy special Ramy Youssef: Feelings. The immigrant’s son additionally is the co-creator of Mo a Netflix comedy-drama series.
Youssef in the meantime has also been in films including Why Him?, Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far On Foot, Hump, and Poor Things, among others.
He has also performed a stand-up routine on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
