Martie gained popularity all thanks to her association with Kristy. Born on April 30th, 1963, she was born Martha aka Martie Miles Allen. She is the daughter of Nancy Norton Allen and Clyde Allen. Her father is a doctor based in Laurel, Mississippi. He specializes in Diagnostic Radiology.

She spent the major portion of her childhood in Laurel, MS, alongside her siblings. Speaking of which, she has one sister, Betsy Allen, and one brother Russell Allen. All three of them are doing great in their respective lives.

Martie Allen appeared in theatrical plays during high school

Martie studied at a local high school in Laurel. During her time in Laurel, she also attended the Laurel Little Theatre. She was one of the cast members of the plays, The Sound of Music and A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To The Forum.

Although Allen once tried her hands in the theatre, she never did become an actor. Instead, she transitioned her career in clinical psychology and became a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).

At the moment, she works at Aspiranet, an adoption & foster care agency. She works as the District Director for the company based in Ventura County, California. She joined the organization in June 2013.

Similar to her partner Kristy, who loves her job as an actress, Martie enjoys working at the agency. She has given several interviews as the director of Aspiranet.
